How To Bring Your Travels Home With You

August 7, 2019July 31, 2019 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 2 Comments

Growing up my siblings and I LOVED souvenirs. You know, all of the tacky cups, shirts, magnets, etc. I still have a keepsake box of some of my favorite souvenirs from trips I took as a kid. The box is filled with post-cards, pressed pennies, t-shirts and anything with my name on it. It was … Continue reading How To Bring Your Travels Home With You

Last week I shared highlights from our time in London in October. Today I am sharing highlights from our time in Scotland. After spending a day in London we took a train to Edinburgh for a 3 night stay. Since we had a few days in a row I was able to do a bit … Continue reading Scotland Adventures

Fall in London

November 13, 2018November 13, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 9 Comments

Back in October we took a trip to London. This was my first trip out of the country and what a perfect place to start- the city that I have always imagined would be my favorite. It did not disappoint. Since I had been so sick this pregnancy I really didn't have anything specific planned … Continue reading Fall in London

A Weekend in Saugatuck, MI

September 25, 2018September 24, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 2 Comments

Two weekends ago we took a quick weekend trip to Saugatuck, MI. It was short but the perfect chance to relax and enjoy some down time. We arrived on Friday and checked in to The Hotel Saugatuck, located right by the river. When I first looked at this hotel I absolutely loved it. I was … Continue reading A Weekend in Saugatuck, MI

The “Extra” Things I Do When Travel Planning

September 6, 2018September 7, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 6 Comments

Confession (unless you already know me), I plan trips in my spare time. I'm talking, trips I have no intention of taking anytime soon. I like to research different locations and save ideas for the future. My husband jokes that he could pick a destination and I would likely already have a trip planned for … Continue reading The “Extra” Things I Do When Travel Planning

More Than Just “Wine Country”: 5 Reasons to Visit Napa

August 16, 2018August 14, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 4 Comments

People will often ask us which vineyards we tried while we were there and the truth is, we didn't go to a single one. Once I tell people this they give me a confused look and say "Then what did you do? Isn't that why people go to Napa?". While Napa is absolutely known for being "wine country" there is so much more to be discovered and explored.

Happy Monday! After unexpectedly taking last week off (things were just a little bit crazy and I needed a break) I am back with our last San Francisco Trip post! It was such a fun trip and I have loved sharing so many photos and highlights! After our 6 mile hike in Mt. Tam we … Continue reading Point Bonita & Marin Headlands

Mt. Tamalpais

June 6, 2018June 4, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 2 Comments

On our last full day of our San Francisco trip we decided to spend our time on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge in Marin County. When we travel I love having a day that we spend hiking, exploring and just enjoying nature and that is what we had planned for this day. … Continue reading Mt. Tamalpais

A Day in Napa

May 29, 2018May 28, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 4 Comments

When planning our trip to San Francisco we both agreed that we wanted to take a day trip to the Napa Valley. We had such a great time when we visited 2 years ago that we were anxious to go back. With Napa only being a quick hour drive from San Francisco it made for the … Continue reading A Day in Napa

Golden Gate Park

May 23, 2018May 22, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 3 Comments

On our second day in San Francisco we had plans to explore Golden Gate Park. It is truly a huge area (like Central Park in NYC) with so much to see and do. We grabbed coffee and pastries from Butter Love Bakery and headed to the park for breakfast. Right after parking we came across … Continue reading Golden Gate Park

TEN MONTHS ♥️ Who is this little boy and where did my tiny baby go? Everyday I see more and more of Jack’s personality develop. He is determined, fearless, clever, funny & sweet. I can’t believe how quickly time is passing by. I love watching him change, but I can help thinking that I wish things would slow down. So thankful I get to be this little man’s mom.
This time last year I waddled around as we picked out our tree. Growing in discomfort (& circumference) I couldn’t wait to meet our sweet baby. Taking Jack to pick out a Christmas tree this year was a “pinch me” moment. For so many years I tried to picture what it would be like to share my favorite holiday traditions with littles. It’s better than I ever imagined. Although he doesn’t understand a lot of what’s happening, watching him experience the magic of this season is incredible. So thankful for my sweet little family and to be able to share this time of year with Jack.
So much to be thankful for today, and everyday, but what first comes to mind is being this sweet little boy’s mom. Motherhood has been the biggest challenge and greatest blessing. I’m thankful for everything from the cute smiles & infectious giggles to the sleepless nights & fussy days. Every minute has been an adventure that I couldn’t love more. Watching Andrew become a dad and seeing our families embrace Jack is truly heartwarming. I love this crazy, colorful and loving family of mine ♥️ Happy Thanksgiving
Heading home today to be with our families for Thanksgiving. This is my favorite time of year and I am so excited to share it with Jack ♥️ I can’t wait to include him in family traditions and start new traditions as a family of three.
