Fall Foliage

Fall Bucket List

September 27, 2018September 27, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 3 Comments

Fall is always my favorite season (pretty closely tied with Winter) and every year I look forward to doing all of my favorite fall activities. Last Fall was so much fun. Apple picking with Andrew, hosting our families for a fall dinner, admiring beautiful foliage in Maine & New Hampshire, another orchard trip with my … Continue reading Fall Bucket List

Fall Foliage Drive

October 26, 2017November 3, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 7 Comments

During our time in Maine we spent our first two days exploring the coast. While the views and foliage were breathtaking we were anxious to see the kind of foliage that I was so lucky to stumble upon in Connecticut last year. We decided that rather than exploring more of the coast we would head … Continue reading Fall Foliage Drive

Exploring the White Mountains

October 23, 2017November 3, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 18 Comments

While we were in Maine we were determined to explore as much as we could and that meant taking in the fall foliage. After a few days exploring the coast we decided to head inland. The White Mountains in New Hampshire were only 2 hours away so it seemed like the perfect opportunity to head … Continue reading Exploring the White Mountains

Why You Should Take a Foliage Trip

October 12, 2017October 21, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 7 Comments

Fall has always been my favorite season even as a child. I remember my mom would curate the perfect front door décor with hay bales, corn stalks and pumpkins galore. Our house would be filled with the scent of fall candles or whichever delicious fall treat my mom was baking that week (her pumpkin bars … Continue reading Why You Should Take a Foliage Trip

A Fresh Start With Fall

"Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall." -F. Scott Fitzgerald Photo taken in Oct. 2016 in Connecticut (Saville Dam on Barkhamsted Reservoir) For me there has always been something special about this time of year. When I walk outside on a crisp fall day and breathe in the fresh air … Continue reading A Fresh Start With Fall

Fall Foliage in Connecticut

October 31, 2016February 8, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 10 Comments

These past weekend I spent 4 days in Connecticut an we were lucky enough to be there during the peak of fall foliage. I knew the views would be beautiful, but WOW, I mean every bend in the road resulted in a gasp as we took in the breathtaking views. After flying into the Hartford … Continue reading Fall Foliage in Connecticut

Packing for Connecticut

October 21, 2016March 15, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ Leave a comment

As I mentioned before, this is my first New England trip so I have been checking for weather predictions regularly so I am prepared for New England Fall weather. Regardless of the weather forecast I think comfortable layers will be necessary as we will be spending a lot of our time walking around and exploring … Continue reading Packing for Connecticut

Cooking and baking together has become one of our favorite things to do. Especially during these extra cold days when it’s hard to get outside.
This past year has forced me to adapt over and over again. And if you know me well, that’s not an easy task for me.
Spring will be here soon. Or at least that’s what I keep telling myself daily. Is anyone else feeling burnt out and in need of warmer weather?
Do you have books you regularly turn to? Books have always been a huge part of my life and I have a handful that I incorporate into my daily routine to help me stay grounded in gratitude.
