Favorite Products of 2018

At the end of last year I saved a post on my favorite products of the year. One reason I love reading blogs is for product recommendations, but sometime it can be hard to keep track of what people are actually using consistently and what they are featuring as a sponsorship. So like last year I wanted to share a round-up of my favorite products that I have continued to love and use this year, some new and some old.

Slip Silk Pillow Case

Andrew gifted me these pillowcases towards the end of last year and I knew within a few days of using them that they would be a new favorite. They have done wonders for my skin and hair. You can read about the benefits of using a silk pillow case here.

Essential OilsEssential OilsI began using essential oils in fall of 2017. I have continued to use them all throughout the year and I am still loving the effects and benefits. They were a huge help during my pregnancy (I will share more on that soon) and have been so helpful in terms of sleep and anxiety. My favorite are the serenity blend (for sleep) and balance blend (for motivation and stability throughout the day).

Breville Barista Express

My in-laws gifted us this Breville for Christmas last year and I am still obsessed. It definitely takes some practice to perfect the espresso brew but so worth it over all. A good cup of coffee in the morning is one of my favorite things and being able to brew such a perfect cup right at home is such a joy. I know this will get even more use once Baby Cannon is here and I need a little pick-me-up on my mornings at home.

Patagonia “Down With It” ParkaPatagonia Winter Coat, Striped ShirtI ordered this coat last winter and before doing so I put a LOT of research into which winter coat to buy. After wearing it for 2 winters now I can officially say that I LOVE it. I will share a full review of it soon, but to summarize it is perfect for the extremely cold weather we often experience in the Midwest!

Longchamp Le Pliage Tote

I had been wanting this tote for a few years now, but I knew it wasn’t really something I needed. Then when I knew I would be needing a diaper bag I started wondering if I would rather use a tote bag with a tote organizer insert. When Meg Hall said she was using her Le Pliage Tote as I diaper bag I convinced myself it was worth the purchase. The diaper bags I had been considering were around the same price anyways, but this way I would have a bag to use even after the diaper bag phase. I only started using it in September but I have LOVED it. I took it with me to London/Scotland and was able to carry my camera/lenses, umbrella and all the other things I usually keep in my purse. It was perfect for my personal bag on the plane and also great for standing up to those rainy UK days. I know it will continue to be used and loved!

I love hearing about new products and items that will stand the test of time and quickly become favorites. What are some of your favorite products that you find yourself using over and over?

  1. What a great post idea! I always love to hear what are peoples favorite products. I am so glad to hear you love the Slip Silk Pillow Case, I actually bought my mom and sister-in-law each one for Christmas. I am secretly hoping I get one from someone as well haha. That espresso machine sounds so good, I need to look into that. I’ve also always though Longchamp bags are so classy and timeless. I need one. That parka is so cute. I just got a good down coat last year and LOVE it. I had never invested in a good one and it’s so worth it.
