“Happiness cannot be traveled to, owned, earned, worn, or consumed. Happiness is the spiritual experience of living every minute with love, grace, and gratitude.”
-Denis Waitley
I have to remind myself often (sometimes daily) that happiness is not a destination. No matter the places I go, the things I have, and the money I make, my happiness is not guaranteed. I cannot “achieve happiness” by checking things off of a list or filling my house/closet with beautiful items.
Happiness is on on going journey that takes effort every day. Happiness is a choice, not always an easy one, but a choice that we have to make every day. Find happiness in dark times; choose happiness over hate, sorrow, and fear.
Find happiness by loving others and yourself, and being grateful for the blessing you have around you.
Happiness is something I am working on daily and without a daily effort, happiness will not be found.
