Fall Purge: Fixing a Cluttered Space & Cluttered Mind

October 3, 2019October 2, 2019 ~ taylorrcannon ~ Leave a comment

Lately I had been feeling really flustered and claustrophobic. A big part of this was because of how cluttered the space around me was. Cluttered space = cluttered mind. I knew it was time for a major purge of the space around me. This could obviously be an overwhelming task if I chose to do … Continue reading Fall Purge: Fixing a Cluttered Space & Cluttered Mind

Happy October everyone! You may remember my "No Shop July" challenge over the summer. I decided to team up with my friends Caitlin & Cierra to do another month of no-shopping. We thought October would be the perfect time before the madness of the holiday season sets in and hopefully will encourage us all to be … Continue reading No Shop October

3 Lessons Learned From Taking a Break

May 9, 2018May 8, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 7 Comments

There were a few weeks leading up to my break from the blog that I was really struggling to find the side of blogging that I used to enjoy. I was balancing too much, struggling with my health and became overwhelmed. I knew I needed to cut back on something (or a few things) and … Continue reading 3 Lessons Learned From Taking a Break

Taking A Break

March 12, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 27 Comments

Happy Monday everyone! It took me a while to figure out what exactly I wanted to share in this post and to be honest, as I type this I'm still not entirely sure what to say. For those of you who read Living Taylored regularly you may have noticed that I was a bit absent … Continue reading Taking A Break

Improving Productivity & Time Management

January 22, 2018January 25, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 4 Comments

Productivity and time management, two things I definitely need to work on this year. I like to think of myself as an organized person and while I may be organized I often struggle to focus and manage my time well. I have been trying my best to improve my time management and productivity so far … Continue reading Improving Productivity & Time Management

2018 Goals & Intentions

January 1, 2018January 3, 2018 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 8 Comments

Happy New Year, everyone!! With the start of a new year I, like so many others, have been reflecting on 2017 and thinking about what I would like to accomplish, change, and improve in 2018. At the start of 2017 I decided that each month I would set a few new goals. I consistently shared these goals at … Continue reading 2018 Goals & Intentions

Opting Out of Black Friday

November 20, 2017November 18, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 3 Comments

Thanksgiving is only a few days away which means that "Black Friday" is growing nearer as well. I'm not really a fan of "Black Friday" and truly just don't understand the concept. We spend a day giving thanks and then the next day focus on buying things that we probably don't really need. Suddenly, want … Continue reading Opting Out of Black Friday

Knowing When To Take a Break

November 13, 2017November 12, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 5 Comments

This weekend was tough and not at all as productive as I had hoped. I have been behind on blog content and fully intended to get caught up this weekend but that just didn't happen. Lately I have been fulling a little bit burnt out. Not because I no longer enjoy blogging but because I … Continue reading Knowing When To Take a Break

Enjoying the Moment

November 6, 2017November 5, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 11 Comments

Lately I have been trying my best to enjoy being in the moment. As someone who is constantly thinking and planning ahead this is something I truly struggle with. I especially struggle with this while on vacation or exploring a new place. I love taking pictures while traveling, but sometimes I get so caught up … Continue reading Enjoying the Moment

Keep Close To Nature’s Heart

October 16, 2017October 12, 2017 ~ taylorrcannon ~ 5 Comments

"Keep close to Nature's heart... and break clear away, once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean." -John Muir Andrew and I are spending the day in Acadia National Park today so it seemed like a great time to talk about spending time in nature. … Continue reading Keep Close To Nature’s Heart

TEN MONTHS ♥️ Who is this little boy and where did my tiny baby go? Everyday I see more and more of Jack’s personality develop. He is determined, fearless, clever, funny & sweet. I can’t believe how quickly time is passing by. I love watching him change, but I can help thinking that I wish things would slow down. So thankful I get to be this little man’s mom.
This time last year I waddled around as we picked out our tree. Growing in discomfort (& circumference) I couldn’t wait to meet our sweet baby. Taking Jack to pick out a Christmas tree this year was a “pinch me” moment. For so many years I tried to picture what it would be like to share my favorite holiday traditions with littles. It’s better than I ever imagined. Although he doesn’t understand a lot of what’s happening, watching him experience the magic of this season is incredible. So thankful for my sweet little family and to be able to share this time of year with Jack.
So much to be thankful for today, and everyday, but what first comes to mind is being this sweet little boy’s mom. Motherhood has been the biggest challenge and greatest blessing. I’m thankful for everything from the cute smiles & infectious giggles to the sleepless nights & fussy days. Every minute has been an adventure that I couldn’t love more. Watching Andrew become a dad and seeing our families embrace Jack is truly heartwarming. I love this crazy, colorful and loving family of mine ♥️ Happy Thanksgiving
Heading home today to be with our families for Thanksgiving. This is my favorite time of year and I am so excited to share it with Jack ♥️ I can’t wait to include him in family traditions and start new traditions as a family of three.
