A Few of My Favorite Things | 2021

Hello, everyone! Happy New Year. Still not quite sure how it is 2022. I feel like it was just 2019… so clearly I’m behind. I think its safe to say that most people are entering this year with relatively low expectations because lets be honest, the past two years weren’t stellar. But regardless I hope this year is full of hope and joy for you all.

Anyways, I am rounding up a few of my favorite things from this past year as I’ve done in years past. After Christmas I always get the urge to declutter and get rid of things that we just don’t use or have a need for. While getting rid of things I also like to take stock of the items I really love and that we got the most use out of throughout the year. Often times there are things that make the list year after year (the tell tale sign of a great product and a keeper for sure) and sometimes its something new. Most of this years list is made up of repeat items that we continue to use and love.

Style

Sarah Flint: I hadn’t owned a pair of Sarah Flint shoes until they asked me to be a brand ambassador but they had been on my dream list for years. Everyone raves about them and they live up to the hype. I’ll be sharing a full post on them soon, but these are definitely my favorite shoes of the year. You can use the code SARAHFLINT-BATAYLORC for $50off your first order.

Dudley Stephens: Dudleys continue to be one of my most worn items (read a full review here). I don’t think this will ever change. They are comfortable, versatile and practical. The three things that are most important when it comes to clothing for me in this stage of life. You can snag $25 off of your first order here.

Haverhill Collection: I had been dreaming of a few pieces of jewelry from Haverhill since becoming a mom and earlier this year my mother-in-law gave me a beautiful birthstone bracelet as a reminder of the baby we lost in 2020. I never take it off and not only do I love the simplicity but it is a lovely reminder that I can keep close to me.

Names For Good: Right before receiving my Haverhill bracelet I ordered name bracelets from Names For Good. I have a couple different ones now that I rotate between but I absolutely love them. They have so many beautiful options and each purchase directly helps a worthy cause. You can learn more about Names For Good and the causes they donate to here.

Home & Kitchen

Breville Barista: We have had this for about 3 or 4 years now and I still get excited to use it. I love that I can easily make a single cup rather than brewing a pot or a full french press. Don’t get me wrong, I love mornings that I can enjoy a full french press worth of coffee but since I’ve recently been pregnant and now nursing I have to curb my coffee consumption. This espresso machine is easy to use and adds a little fanciness to my morning coffee which I quite enjoy.

Chappy Wrap: Chappy Wraps continue to be a favorite in our house, in fact Jack sleeps with not one, not two, but THREE in his bed… He has the mini and midi size and recently stole one of mine. And Eleanor is a big fan too. Chappy launched a shawl this year (which is also a new favorite) and whenever I wear it she likes to snuggle up into it or just steal it all together.

Boll & Branch Sheets: My mother-in-law gave us a set of Boll & Branch Luxe sheets and I will never use anything else. They are the BEST. Not only are they sooo dreamy and comfortable but they dry really well (no wrinkly hems). I have no doubt that we will continue to use these sheets year after year.

Kids & Baby

Triangle Climber: Jack got this climber for his second birthday and he loves it. Its a great way for him to be able to climb and get out some energy when it is too cold to go outside. I have a feeling that it wont be long before Eleanor is climbing on it with him.

SNOO: We used the SNOO for Eleanor this year and I’m so thankful we did. We used it with Jack too (you can read my full review here) and both times it was so helpful. We really only used it because it helped with my postpartum anxiety both times and that alone is worth it to me.

Lovevery: We have been receiving Lovevery Kits for almost 2 years now for Jack and now Eleanor receives them too. I shared a full post here on why we love them and they continue to be a favorite for both me and the kids. Jack gets excited each time a new kit arrives and even Eleanor lights up when she sees her new toys that are curated perfectly for her developmental age.

Health & Beauty

Prose: I was really struggling with my hair throughout the year and felt like it wasn’t as healthy as it used to be. I’m sure it was a combination of pregnancy (and then postpartum) hormones and lack of quality products. I wanted to find something that used clean and safe ingredients that I could use to help strengthen and tame my hair so I started using Prose. I’ve been using it for over 7 months now and I LOVE it. I feel like my hair is stronger, healthier and easier to tame in terms of my frizz and waves. After taking a short survey they curate custom products specific to your hairs needs. If you are interested in trying Prose, you can get $10 off here.
