The Shirt I Can’t Stop Wearing (& FOUR Ways to Style It)

A few weeks ago I shared some of my favorite pieces I’m wearing during pregnancy that are non-maternity. Some are pieces I already owned and loved before pregnancy and a few are new pieces that I knew I would still wear after baby. This shirt is one of them and chances are good if you follow other bloggers you’ve seen it around.

I started to see it all over Instagram and people were raving about how great it is. Well now I am here to sing its praise as well. My friend Lauren mentioned that she loved hers and that it would work throughout her pregnancy so I decided to give it a try and I was immediately so glad that I did. It is one of those shirts that I wish I could get in every color.

How To Style It

Right now I am a little limited in my styling options given the bump, but I know it is such a versatile piece. Right now I really love wearing it under my favorite sweater blazer for a slightly less casual look. Post baby I know it would be cute half tucked into high waisted jeans or even a casual midi skirt like this one.

I’ve put together four different spring/summer looks for the oversized polo that I know I will be wearing after pregnancy:

Look 1: This outfit would be perfect for an Al Fresco dinner or date night! Pair any color of the shirt with a flowy midi skirt (I have this one and can’t wait to wear it post-baby), fun sandals or wedges for an easy date night look, plus this beautiful bag which is perfect for date night.

Look 2: A casual look for a morning walk or bike ride. Throw on comfy jeans shorts, sneakers and a hat and the super comfortable polo for a simple look for an active day.

Look 3: This polo makes a great beach cover up. Its oversized fit makes it perfect for throwing on over a swim suit. Pair it with comfortable linen pants or shorts, a sunhat and beach slides.

Look 4: Paired with white jeans (these are my personal favorite), fun espadrilles and a straw bag would be a great outfit for a trip to the farmers market or weekend brunch.

This polo truly is so versatile and can easily be dressed up or down.

Sizing & Fit

The polo comes in 3 different sizes: XS/S, M/L, & XL/XXL which I know can make ordering a bit confusing depending on your size. I am a small or medium in most sizes so ordering anything with “XS” in the sizing seemed out of the question. Especially considering I wanted it to work for as much of my pregnancy as possible. I first ordered the M/L in Ecru and felt like it was a great fit, but keep in mind that I was a 5.5 months pregnant at the time. I will still wear it post-pregnancy but I do think it will fit a little bigger than I would typically prefer. I knew I wanted it in another color so I decided to order the Navy in a XS/S to try and I’m super happy with it.

The shirt is meant to have an oversized fit and even with the bump I still have quite a bit of room. I think it should easily get me through these last 2 months of pregnancy and be a great and comfortable option for after baby as well.
