Every year my family takes a trip to the pumpkin patch together. With each year it seems it is harder to get everyone together so I always look forward to occasions like this. So this weekend we all got together and headed to Union Orchard for apple and pumpkin picking.Even though Andrew and I had gone apple picking earlier in the season I was excited to go again and explore another nearby orchard.We stocked up on more apples to make some fun fall recipes and then headed off to pick out our pumpkins. Andrew was particularly excited to pick a pumpkin. He has never picked one from the vine before and I think he found the perfect one.These family traditions are something I’ve always looked forward to and I love it even more as our family grows. I can’t wait until we have little ones joining us on these trips.After picking our apples and pumpkins we headed inside to the orchard market for some seasonal treats. I grabbed some hot apple cider and a few apple cider donuts to share with everyone.I love that this season is filled with so many traditions, holidays, and celebrations. I love any opportunity to have everyone together. Now that our annual pumpkin patch trip is over I am anxious for Thanksgiving to arrive.
