My favorite coat as a child was a yellow rain coat from Lands End. I thought it was the coolest jacket ever. My siblings and I each had one in a different color and I treasured my yellow coat. I was so sad when I eventually outgrew the coat and had to pass it down to my sister.
After having to say goodbye to that childhood favorite (which is now in my keepsake box) a yellow rain coat has been at the top of my wish list for so many years now. It may not be a necessity, especially since I already have a great rain coat, but I was determined to find a yellow one anyways.
I found this one on a whim when I was searching for summer dresses and couldn’t resist. I am trying to branch out and wear more color and and this bright yellow is perfect for brightening up cloudy days. The blue polka dot lining makes it even more fun.
We have had SO much rain lately so I have been wearing it as often as possible. In Nebraska our rainy summer days are usually still pretty hot so having a light weight water proof jacket is great. While I love my Barbour Beadnell Jacket, sometimes it is a little heavy for those muggy summer days here in Nebraska. This rain coat is super light weight and breathable so I don’t ever feel too hot when I’m wearing it.
You can be sure you will see me splashing around in my rain boots and this fun coat every chance I get this summer!
