“Always love, hate will get you every time”

There is something about these lyrics that have stuck with me since I first heard the song. This week seemed especially appropriate to share since Valentine’s Day is tomorrow. As cheesy and cliché as it may seem, choosing love over hate is always the best option.

This doesn’t have to mean the traditional definition and idea of love. Instead, always choose kindness, acceptance, and patience.

Choosing love (and kindness, acceptance, and patience) really will get you so much farther than choosing hate. It isn’t always easy, especially when others are offering hate and discouragement, but lead by example by living and acting with love in mind. Commit to being a more loving and kind person and surround yourself with others who do the same. Doing so will truly make a difference and hopefully encourage others to act in the same way.

Always, always choose love.
