Every since becoming a mom reading comes in waves for me. Sometimes I sadly go months without reading hardly at all while other times, like recently, I finish several books within a week.

I took a pill on Instagram to see what was most requested for blog posts this week and sharing my recent reads was the top request. So here is a round up of everything I’ve read lately!
Verity by Colleen Hoover: I’ve seen Colleen Hoovers books everywhere but this was my first. Most of her books have an extremely long waitlist for e-books or hard copies at my library. But this week I took the kids and Verity was sitting on the counter and had JUST been returned. I started it after lunch that day and had it finished before I went to sleep that night. It was gripping but also very hard to read at times. But I definitely think I’ll try reading more books by Colleen Hoover
One True Loves by Taylor Jenkins Ried: Another author with super popular books and a long library waitlist. I chose this one randomly at Target not having read any of her other books. This was a super touching read. A little heartbreaking at times and I was sure the ending would disappoint me but it didn’t.
Spare by Prince Harry: I was really excited for the release of this book but it took me months to get through. I’m not sure why, it just wasn’t something that held my interest enough to pick it up everyday. I felt like most of the information in it had already been shared via their Oprah interview and the Netflix Docu-series but otherwise it was still an interesting read and gives a look into Harry’s life and what lead him to where he is today.
Living a Beautiful Life by Alexandra Stoddard: My mother-in-law sent me this book at the beginning of the year and I immediately started reading it. I started the year off knowing that I wanted to do more to find joy in everyday and make life a bit more beautiful. This book gave me the inspiration and ideas I needed. I even underlined throughout the book different ideas or quotes that I enjoyed. It’s a light and quick read but will motivate you to make simple changes to everyday life to help you live a beautiful life.
Beautiful Day by Elin Hilderbrand: I always enjoy Elin Hilderbrand novels. This was a sweet and heartwarming read. A Nantucket Summer wedding had me craving spring and warmer weather.
All the Ways We Said Goodbye by Beatriz Williams, Lauren Willig, & Karen White: I have loved everything I’ve read by Beatriz Williams and I’ve seen a few of her collaborative novels but this was the first I’ve read. I really enjoyed the storyline. It covers the stories of three different women over the course of 60 years and how they all tie together.
Hotel Nantucket by Elin Hilderbrand: This was a very different read than I was expecting but I’ll admit, I didn’t read what the book was about before starting it. My sister was reading it so I decided to read it along with her. Even though it was different than I expected I enjoyed the book.
I’m currently reading We Were the Lucky Ones by Georgia Hunter. It’s been on my list for a while so I’m excited to start it. What have you been reading lately? Leave your recommendations below!!
