After living in Omaha for 4 years now I feel like I am still discovering so many great neighborhoods, restaurants and activities. To be honest, Nebraska is not where I hope to live long-term. Ever since moving to Nebraska 20ish years ago it has been my goal to move elsewhere. But living in Omaha has helped me to better appreciate this state as there really is so much to do here.
I know Omaha isn’t exactly a major tourist destination, but we do have a few things that bring in a lot of visitors every year (like the College World Series & The Henry Doorly Zoo-ranked #1 in the world). That being said, I thought it would be helpful to start sharing a few “City Guides” whether you are planning on visiting Omaha or if you live here and are struggling to discover some of Omaha’s hidden gems and local bests.
I don’t have a set schedule in mind for this new series, but over time I will be sharing city guides on Omaha restaurants, seasonal activities, favorite coffee shops, kid-friendly activities and more. If you have any suggestions or requests for what you would like to see in terms of these city guides let me know!
I think this is a great idea! Believe it or not, we were seriously considering moving to Omaha last year. We decided to stay put for now, but it does look like a nice city. I’m interested in some of the different neighborhoods or suburbs, restaurants and activities. Have you ever been to the biosphere? It seems pretty cool.
