At the beginning of the year I started doing “Capsule Wardrobe” posts for the season. When I decided to take a break I decided to hold off on the capsule posts for a bit-hopefully I will get one up for Fall when the time comes. So while I won’t be sharing a Summer Capsule Wardrobe I thought I would share a post of some of my warm weather staples.
Everyday Shoes
These converse are probably one of my most frequently worn shoes, especially in Spring & Summer. They are comfortable and so easy to slip on! They are great with jeans, shorts, and even casual dresses. If you aren’t a fan of converse, I think these Superga sneakers are great for summer too!
Breezy/Lightweight Tops
Nebraska Summer heat can be brutal. I try to wear breezy and light weight tops as often as possible in the summer like this eyelet one (similar here). This striped shirt has been a warm weather savior and I think this tank would be great for summer heat!
Hats
Not only can hats be a cute touch to an outfit, but they are also great for sun protection. And when you are transparently pale like I am, its a must! I love sunhats like these and of course the traditional ball cap too!
Summer Dresses
Again, because it can get so hot and humid here I often opt for dresses in the summer. I love throwing on a casual dress like this striped dress, a classic white shirt dress or a fun floral sundress!
Comfortable Sandals
I use to hate sandals, mostly because I could never find any that were comfortable enough to wear all summer long. But then I tried a pair of Jack Rogers. They may not look it but they are extremely comfortable. I walked around in these during most of our Chicago trip last summer and they never bothered me. I know some people say they take a while to break in but I thought it was a breeze. These sandals are a great summer staple.

Living Taylored 
The converse shoes are just awesome! I love it, and always did. I had several pairs throughout the years, but my favs were always either white or red.I have to buy new ones so I think I’m going to go back to white.

I agree with all of these staples! My Jacks are my go-to shoes that I always grab. That hat is darling. Where is it from? Also, I have been wearing similar dresses on repeat.
