Today I celebrate my 24th birthday. I have never been a huge fan of celebrating my birthday. Not because I am afraid of getting older but because I have never liked the extra attention that tends to come with it.
What I do enjoy about it, however, is the reflection of the past year and knowing that each day that passes will offer knew opportunities.
This quote is great to reflect on as I celebrate another year of life. I may be getting older but each day I am also growing and developing as a person. I am presented with new adventures, opportunities, and experiences.
Every day I have the chance for a new start. No matter how old I get, I am also becoming a newer (and hopefully better) version of myself.
So don’t think of birthdays as getting older, think of it as an opportunity to celebrate new beginnings. Every day is an opportunity to start new and improve, take it.

I’m the same way about celebrating my own birthday, I’ve never been a big fan, because I’m not sure what to do with myself!
However, birthdays are definitely a good time to reflect upon the year.
