I have said it before, but I LOVE fall. There is just something about the fall and winter seasons that bring me joy. The months of October-February are an absolute delight for me.
The end of October was approaching and because Andrew and I had both been so busy (and because of the ridiculously warm weather) I felt like I hadn’t really shifted into fall yet. So I decided to set aside a Sunday and have a fall themed dinner and movie night.
I spent the day baking pumpkin bread and making homemade tomato soup to have with three-cheese paninis and gathered a variety of fall treats.
After our dinner of soup and paninis we snuggled up on the couch to watch Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin and A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving complete with fall goodies to snack on.
Along with our pumpkin bread we had cinnamon apple cider floats and apple cinnamon donuts (plus a few maple creme cookies from my Connecticut trip).
Filled with soup and fall treats and curled up with a blanket it finally started to feel like fall.
And now I will happily await the arrival of Thanksgiving!
