Pre-Spring Style

I find the end of winter to be the hardest time to get dressed. Mostly because I’m so burnt out on the extreme cold that I just want to stay in something cozy all day. But I personally always feel better if I truly get dressed for the day. This time of year I start craving spring styles even though I know that true spring weather is a long ways off (its currently -15 as I write this, BRRR!). So instead I’ve been trying to combine a few spring touches with cozy layers. I’ve put together a few outfits based on what I have been wearing lately to channel spring while still staying warm

Light Layers

I love wearing a trench coat year round, but to me it is the quintessential spring coat and great for layering. Paired with a button down and layered with a light tissue turtleneck underneath. While this a darker combo to me it feels like a good blend of winter meets early spring.

Stripes & Wicker

The combo of stripes and a woven bag screams spring to me. I always look forward to breaking out my woven and wicker pieces for the warmer months. This striped sweater is a favorite of mine year round, especially when I’m craving warmer weather. It is a thicker knit so very cozy but still great for layering with.

Blue & White

While I treat blue and white as a year round combo I really love it for warmer weather. This blue and white silk scarf is so pretty for spring. I can’t wait to wear it paired with my favorite dress. But for now I’m adding it to a button down and sweater vest.

A few other ways I’ve been incorporating spring into my daily outfits is by wearing brighter and lighter colors, paring linen tops with a sweater draped over my shoulders, and adding florals.
