At the beginning of the year I started reading a book that really encouraged me to try making every day a little more beautiful. One thing I knew we I wanted to do to make every day more beautiful was making an effort to “dress up” most days. And I don’t mean wear dress clothes but just wear the cute everyday clothes that often sit in my closet.

I had my go-to pieces that I would wear over and over so I told myself it was time to shop my own closet and make an effort to branch out. I often stick to the colors blue, white and cream but recently I’ve really been living wearing a bit more color, especially green.
Luckily (although not so lucky for my wallet) there are PLENTY of cute green pieces coming out for spring. I’ve rounded up some of my favorites that I either have in my closet and love, or pieces I’m eyeing for the new season!

Pieces I Have and Love

Barbour Beadnell: when I first saw the Barbour Beadnell in the sage green I fell in love. Of course my usual go to color is navy so I wasn’t sure how often I would reach for the green but this is one of my most worn jackets. It also comes in an olive green but I felt the deeper sage color was a little less rustic and outdoorsy looking giving is a slightly elevated look.
Green Jeans: I had a pair of green jeans from JCrew before having kids that I loved and wore all of the time. After having Elle they never got me again so I had been searching for a new pair when I found these. They are so comfortable I’ve considered ordering the same style in other colors and washes.
Juliet Dunn Dress: I have wanted a JD dress for a couple years now and when I found a few on major sale this month I had to get one. I almost went with my typical blue and white combo but when I saw this beautiful green I couldn’t resist it! It’s SO pretty and I can’t wait to wear it this spring and summer! (*Sizing note: it says online that this one runs big but I didn’t find that to be true. I originally ordered a size 2 (M) and ended up exchanging it for a 3 (L). So keep in mind when ordering.)
Gauze Popover Shirt: I have this same Alice Walk top in white and just ordered it in green. I wear this top year round and probably weekly when it comes to the warmer months. It is such an easy and classic piece to pair with jeans, shorts and even skirts!
I think I’ll continue wearing a lot of green, especially once it starts to warm up and I can break out some spring and summer pieces!
I absolutely love your look here! It’s amazing what wearing our favorite pieces can do for our confidence. I love the idea of making an effort every day, not just saving things for special occasions.
