My closet is mostly filled with basics and staple pieces year round and even more so in the fall and winter. When dressing for cold weather I prefer to be stocked with versatile and basic pieces to layers rather than trendy pieces I will only wear once or twice a season if I’m lucky. One of the staple pieces I get the most use out of in the winter is my classic black wool coat.I had been wanting one for quite sometime and finally found one I loved last winter. I wanted something flattering and versatile but that would also keep me warm since Nebraska winters can be quite harsh. I first wore it while we were on a trip to NYC last December. We spent a lot of time walking around the city and despite the cold and rainy weather it kept me warm throughout our days exploring.I love that this coat is versatile enough to be paired with jeans and a sweater, but it also looks great with a dress or skirt also.
