I hope you all like blue and white as much as I do because I am going to be wearing a LOT of it the next few months. It is such a classic look for spring and summer and I simply love it!
Today I am sharing this super cute chambray skirt. When I went shopping for my birthday with my mother-in-law this was one of the first things to catch my eye. I loved it as soon as I saw it. Not only is it blue/chambray but it has a fun scallop detail down the front making it even cuter.
Even though I told myself I was only shopping for staples and classic pieces this I had to get this skirt. I am so glad that I did and it has actually been a very versatile piece in my closet this spring. I love that it can be worn with a simple white tee or something a bit dressier like this scallop cut top. I’ve also paired it with a bold red striped top and a lighter weight sweater.
So far I have only worn it with these wedges and flats but I think it would also be really cute with white sneakers and a simple t-shirt.
While I try my best to stick with basics or classic pieces sometimes I cave when I find such a cute piece like this skirt. Before I buy anything I try to think of all the ways I would be able to wear it. If I know it is something that I can wear often and mix and match then to me it seems like a good purchase. A chambray skirt really is a versatile piece that I know I will be able to re-wear and style different ways.

I love love love the scallops! In my opinion, you can never have too many scallops in an outfit 🙂 That skirt is so cute and I feel like it could be so versatile. Might have to add that to my wishlist!
