Mother’s Day is this weekend and such a special time to acknowledge the wonderful mothers in your life. Whether you are celebrating your own mom, mother-in-law, grandmother, or wife do something to let them know how much they are loved and appreciated. While the wonderful women deserve so much more than just one day’s recognition it is nice to spend a day letting them know they are loved, admired and respected for all that they do for us.

If the person you are celebrating is anything like my mom she probably doesn’t want to be showered with gifts. There are so many ways to show your appreciation so I am rounding up a few ideas of how to celebrate the mothers in your life (gifts included).

HOW TO CELEBRATE

Breakfast in bed: If you are at home with your mom or celebrating your wife this is a perfect way to treat her!

Host a brunch: Gather the special mom’s in your life and host a brunch. If my mom and mother-in-law didn’t live in a different town I would love to host a little brunch for them.

Relaxation: Provide her with all the things she needs to spend the day relaxing. This could be a spa day, getting the kids out of the house, or giving her a comfy robe, scented candle, and her favorite book and letting her spend the day doing nothing but lounging.

Dinner: Take her out to her favorite dinner place or even better make her dinner at home (without her having to do a thing).

Take a class together: No matter the type of things that your mom enjoys you can find a class to suit her interests. Cooking and baking classes, pottery or painting, floral arrangement/décor tutorials or maybe even a fun new outdoor or exercise class. Do something together to enjoy the day!
