Little Lace Dress (Graduation & Wedding Guest Dresses)

As a little girl I loved getting dressed up. Looking back at childhood photos I am often in a dress, hair curled and pinned back with a bow. My mom tells me that I went through a phase when if I left the house without a bow in my hair I would freak out.

I outgrew the phase for a few years but found my way back sometime in college. Now that I have more events to dress up for and a job I can wear dresses to often, I love shopping for dresses. Now, at least a quarter of my closet is made up of dresses and skirts. I would honestly get a new dress for every special occasion if it weren’t completely impractical and unnecessary.

So with graduation and wedding season upon us, dresses have been on my mind. Today I am sharing a few of my favorite lace dresses.

Lace dresses have recently become my new favorite. There is something so elegant about them that I just love. I originally got this one to wear for our anniversary dinner in NYC, but I knew it would be something I could wear often. I was so excited to be able to wear it again Easter Weekend.

The delicate lace overlay, bell sleeves, and ruffled collar drew me in. I was thrilled when the dress arrived and realized it would go great with the clutch I used at our wedding (making it even better for an anniversary dinner!).

To me, a lace dress is can be classic and timeless if you find the right cut. Depending on the style it can be great for special events, holidays, parties, or even for work.
