Every New Years Eve my family comes to Omaha to celebrate the new year and have some family time together. I couldn’t be with them last year since Andrew and I were on our honeymoon so this year I was anxious to celebrate with them.

Their first night here I wanted to have everyone over for hot cocoa. We had AMAZING hot cocoa in New York from Jacques Torres that I desperately wanted to serve but it didn’t get here in time so I relied and one of my classic favorites- Ghirardelli Hot Chocolate- with marshmallows, chocolate chips and whipped cream to top it off.

Even though we had just spent part of Christmas weekend with my family it was so nice to have everyone together again. Now that I live in a different town and 2 of my siblings are away at college I cherish any opportunity we have to all be together!
