We kicked off our NYC adventure by spending our night at the NYC Ballet. Every since I was little I loved The Nutcracker so I was thrilled when we got ticket’s to see a performance while in the city.
With so many formal events scheduled during this trip I started planning our outfits months in advance and I knew exactly what I wanted to wear for the ballet.
I found this dress last year and so badly wanted a reason to buy it. I ended up ordering it for my sister’s graduation party (a tea party theme). It was such a beautiful dress that I knew I would break it out at any chance I could find. So when we ordered tickets for the ballet I knew this would be the perfect dress! The shoes I received as a gift last Christmas and the navy suede and bow make them perfect for this dress.
With our busy schedules we don’t get the chance to get dressed up very often at home so this trip was a blast having so many formal events. The performance was wonderful and truly a great way to begin our week in New York. With everything so festive this time of year between the window displays and the Rockefeller tree, what better way to kick of our trip than with a showing of George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker ballet!
