With the busyness of this month I was beginning to feel like I was running out of time to enjoy the holiday season. There was so much that I wanted to do before Christmas arrived and with a week in New York I didn’t think I would have time.

Determined to fit in everything I had planned we decided to turn this week into a festive holiday movie marathon. Saturday night we made some hot cocoa, grabbed a few of our treats that we brought back from NYC, and snuggled up to watch The Grinch (non-animated).

First thing Sunday morning I started making homemade sugar cookies for us to decorate that afternoon.

Once the cookies were done baking we sat down (with more hot cocoa) to start decorating. Andrew had never decorated Christmas cookies so we had so much fun. I know that this will be something we do every year together.

After decorating we grabbed a few of our festive cookies and curled up to watch a few more holiday movies. We spent the night watching Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer & Miracle on 34th Street.

We are going to continue our movie marathon for the rest of the week as we look forward to heading home to spend Christmas with our families! I can’t wait for a week full of celebrations and traditions.
