This past week Andrew and I headed back to Kearney for Thanksgiving. Andrew managed to take a few days off from work and we were able to visit our families Wednesday-Saturday. I was thankful that we had as much time as we did but it of course didn’t seem like enough.
We celebrated as we have the past 2 years, my parents invited my husband’s parents over to join us in our Thanksgiving Dinner. Coming from a big family I love the excitement of everyone being together.
As always, my mom made a wonderful Thanksgiving meal and everything looked beautiful. One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is that my brother, sister, and I each have a dish that we love to make to take some of the stress off of mom. Liam does the rolls (they are seriously the best ever!), Pete does the green bean casserole, and I do the pumpkin pie and occasionally another dessert.
I love being home for holidays and I can’t wait until we head back for Christmas in Kearney.
