I recently shared a post about pieces that I have owned for five years or longer. When shopping its my goal to buy quality, timeless pieces that I know I will have and love for years. When writing the previous post I realized that I have owned most of my closet for about 3 years. After having Eleanor (just over three years ago) I really started to focus on building a solid wardrobe. I’ve built what I feel is a closet full of timeless staples. I wanted to share another roundup of pieces that have been a core piece of my wardrobe.

I LOVE a good Oxford button down. The Deep End by AYR is one that I wear weekly. It has a slightly oversized fit making it a bit more casual than my other favorite button-down. But this one has been a staple in my closet for 3 years now. I wear it all year round and love it both layered and on its own.
I love a good white sneaker and couldn’t resist the metallic logo on these ones. They quickly became my go-to sneaker and are now looking rather well loved. Veja sneakers have since been a favorite, I now have two other styles as well that are very comfortable. This pair I wore all over Disney and this pair was a favorite this past summer.

I’m a fan of everything Sarah Flint but these flats have been a long time love. The detail that Sarah Flint puts into her shoes is unmatched. The crossover pointed toe and asymmetrical bow ads something special to the Natalie Flat. I wear these regularly and love how elevated they are compared to a traditional flat. While pregnant with Elle I saw another mom wearing her Nap Dress throughout her pregnancy. Knowing that Elle was going to be a summer baby I decided to order it thinking the dress would be great for maternity wear and post partum nursing as well. I’ve had it for almost 4 years now and it has been a very well loved dress. When I ordered the sizing ran a tad big so I took an XS. I’m not sure if the sizing has changed but since the dress is smocked it will stretch quite a bit so keep that in mind when ordering.
Alice Walk Favorites
After having Elle I ordered a few pieces from Alice Walk after hearing such rave reviews. The two pieces that I wear most often and have had for 3+ years are the gauze pullover and the cotton mockneck sweater (as shown right). I wear both of these year round and travel with them all the time as well. They both still look brand new. Everything Alice Walks makes is incredible quality. You can read my full review of the brand here.

This striped sweater is such a simple pieces but one that I always get compliments on. I wear it year round and while I’ve had it for at least 3 years it still looks new. The quality is incredible and I love how thick it it. I wish it came in more striped color ways than the three that they have.
A big part of having pieces in my wardrobe for 3+ years is the quality of the item and they way you care for them. Buying quality pieces that won’t pill, tear or fall apart after a few wears/washes is so important. Not only that but they way you care for them as well. So let this serve as a reminder to shop for quality but also take the time to read care labels, treat your shoes with liquid protector, hang dry when possible, etc. These two factors will help extend the life of your closet!
