My Favorite Brands from Across the Pond

With the arrival of Autumn my favorite style is that of a sporting weekend in the UK. I love tweeds, plaids and boots perfect walking in any weather. This time of year always makes me revisit a few of my favorite brands from England, Scotland & Ireland.

Holland Cooper

I have long admired pieces from Holland Cooper. They have so many quintessentially British styles. I have several pieces on my wishlist but two pieces that I own and love are this fleece gilet and this fleece jacket with elbow patches. A couple pieces I have my eye on are this blazer and elbow patch sweater. They also have darling coats, hats and boots for littles! (A brand frequently worn by the Duchess of Cambridge, see her Holland Cooper looks here.)

Boden

Boden is quite popular here in the states so you may already be familiar with them. They have a lot of great classics along with fun seasonal or trendy pieces. They always have great striped shirts and I love their button downs as well. Plus the children’s collection is always so fun!

Fairfax & Favor

If you follow the royal family you have likely noticed Kate Middleton’s Penelope Chilvers Tassle Riding Boots. Fairfax & Favor has several styles of boots similar to them along with other great coats and accessories.

Burleigh

If you have followed me for a while you are probably familiar with my blue and white tea set. It is the Regal Peacock by Burleigh (I love this pattern too!). They have truly beautiful handmade pieces. It is my hope to visit their factory the next time I’m able to travel to England. While the pieces may seem pricey they are incredible quality sure to be heirloom pieces passed down for years.

Barbour

Probably the brand I have shared with you the most, Barbour. I love my Barbour jackets so much. The classic waxed Beadnell (also available here) is one of their most well known styles and most worn in my closet. It is such a great and versatile piece. I also love their quilted jackets and vests. This is another brand that is often worn by the Royal Family.

Hunter Boots

Hunter Boots started in Scotland and are now quite popular in the states. They certainly live up to their hype. I have had mine for about 7 years and I love them. The kids also have a pair and we wear them throughout most of the year in rain and snow.

Tartan Blanket Co.

If you are a fan of tartan you will love these blankets. TBC has beautiful tartan blankets and scarves in both classic and modern plaids. I have one in my living room (pictured above) and it is a favorite. They have such a cozy and traditional look. Every time I see it I think of our trip to Scotland.

Pepa London

I first discovered Pepa London before having kids and made a mental note that someday I would order from them. They have beautiful children’s clothing and shoes in such classically British styles. Eleanor’s first pair of shoes were little Mary Jane’s from Pepa and I will cherish them forever and hopefully they will be passed down to her kids someday.

Age of Innocence

I recently discovered Age of Innocence and fell in love with their children’s shoes. As I was browsing the little girl’s selection I thought to myself “I wish they had these in my size” and then I realized they DO! They also have women’s shoes to match many of the little girls’ styles. They offer so many classic styles that I would love to get for Eleanor.

Dubarry

While I don’t personally own any pieces from Dubarry there are a few on my wishlist and I have friends who LOVE their Dubarry pieces. Their signature boot is on my wishlist, the perfect boot for wet weather, and I’m obsessed with this beautiful Pheasant Stole. They also have beautiful coats and accessories. The brand is also commonly worn by the royal family. You can see the Duchess of Cambridge sporting her Dubarry pieces here.

So many of these brands feel cozy to me, especially during fall. So I’ll make a cup of tea and curl up pretending I’m in the countryside.
