Festive Tree Trimming

Having a real Christmas Tree is one of my favorite parts of the holiday season. It is so much fun to pick out your favorite tree and the SMELL- the whole house smells wonderful all season long!

The Sunday after Thanksgiving we went to pick out our Christmas Tree from Mulhall’s. The plan was to go to a nearby Christmas Tree Farm but we just didn’t have the time. We had gone to Mulhall’s the previous year and they always have a great selection of trees so we knew we would be able to find the perfect one. I threw on my favorite holiday plaid flannel and hunter boots and bundled up as we set out in search of our tree.

Last year we picked out the cutest little tree. It probably only stood about 3.5-4 feet tall but I loved it. I love picking out small quaint trees- I think they have a certain charm to them. This year we opted for a slightly bigger tree that it just over 5 feet tall but it is truly perfect!

Since we got off to a bit of a late start we weren’t able to fully decorate our tree that night. Instead we got it set up and in the spot we had picked out for it and waited to decorate another night.
