Clean Skincare Favorites

Since becoming a mother I’ve prioritized using cleaner and safer products. In the past seven years I’ve found several brands and products that I love, but of course as my skin changes over time so does my routine.

In the last year or two I started using some “new to me” brands that I have absolutely loved and have made a big difference in my skin so I thought I would share an updated post with my new favorites.

Ogee

I tried Ogee for the first time last spring and absolutely loved everything I tried. I use the Indigo Dream Cream and the Seeds of Youth Serum daily. I also use the Detox Mask once or twice a week. Their products are gentle enough for my sensitive skin but also effective and keep my skin looking even and clear. (Ogee is currently running 20% off sitewide! It’s a great time to try a product you’ve been eyeing or test out their Discovery Set)

La Roche Posay

I felt like the face washes I was using just weren’t working for my skin so I switched to two cleansers by La Roche Posay and I love them both. I use the Gentle Foaming Cleanser in the morning and the Effeclar Acne Cleanser at night. It’s the perfect combination for my skin.

Guerlain

My mom got me hooked on Guerlain and because of the price I was hesitant to use it but it’s worth every penny. My favorite is the Double Essence Toner. I stopped using it for several months and as soon as I started using it again my skin looked 10x better. It was clearer and my skin tone looked more even.

Biossance

I have a difficult time finding moisturizers that aren’t too heavy and make my skin oily or breakout. And if it’s a lighter weight moisturizer I often feel like my skin is dry and dull. But this gel moisturizer from Biossance is the perfect balance. I’ve used it as my daytime moisturizer for several years and anytime I try something different I keep coming back to this.

Finding skincare that is clean, safe and effective is far more difficult than it should be. I love using the Yuka App to search products before trying. It breaks down the ingredients and their safety or risk factors.
