Trying 3 Popular Sezane Sweaters

If you aren’t familiar with Sezane they are a lovely French brand that focuses on quality and ethically made pieces.

Sezane’s beautiful knitwear is what first drew me to the brand but they have so many other beautiful pieces. Their shirts and blouses are some of my favorites.

Lately I’ve wanted to add a bit more color to my wardrobe and was drawn to their red cardigans but couldn’t decide which style. Sezane has three popular cardigan styles that always come highly recommended; the Gaspard, Barry & Emile cardigans. I decided to order all three in red to try on and thought I would share a bit about each.

The Gaspard

Before my order even arrived I was pretty sure The Gaspard would be my favorite. Every time I see it online I’m drawn to it. It just has such a simple yet beautiful fit.

I ordered a size small and I think it fits quite well. I didn’t want anything too fitted and knew even with handwashing it may shrink a tad.

The Emile

The Emile sweater is quite different from the other two. It is a thicker and much more casual/relaxed style. I originally wanted this sweater in burgundy over the fall season but it sold out. So I thought I would give it a try in red.

Due to the oversized style I ordered a small. I probably could have gone with an XS if I wanted it a little less baggy.

The Barry

The Barry sweater is very similar to The Gaspard. It has the same arm style and feel of material. The only difference is the neckline and buttons (colored buttons on The Barry).

I almost didn’t order this one to try on because I thought I wouldn’t like it. I don’t own a single v-neck item in my closet. I’m just never drawn to them. But I had seen this cardigan styled backwards with the V-cut and buttons in the back and was intrigued that it could be worn more than one way.

All 3 of these styles are so beautiful. I’ve yet to meet a Sezane piece that I didn’t love. Which is your favorite?

I happily would have kept all three, but I sent two back. I’ll be sharing which one I kept in an upcoming post!
