Taking A Break

Happy Monday everyone! It took me a while to figure out what exactly I wanted to share in this post and to be honest, as I type this I’m still not entirely sure what to say. For those of you who read Living Taylored regularly you may have noticed that I was a bit absent last week.

I hadn’t planned on taking a break last week, but after some reflection I have to decided to take a longer break to focus on self care. I’ve realized that my mental and physical health need to be a bigger priority.

I started Living Taylored as a creative outlet to share ways to make the most out of everyday life and simple living. I still love creating content and connecting with readers and other bloggers but I’ve decided to take some time off to reevaluate and reflect on my own lifestyle. While this blog has allowed me to be creative and served as a source of joy, I have also stretched myself a little too thin and neglected to take care of myself in the process.

I would love to share more, and perhaps I will in the future, but for now I am going to leave it here and say that for the next few days or weeks I will be taking some time to take care of my health.

I don’t know if or when I will resume blogging, but as of right now my plan is to at least take the rest of March off from Living Taylored.

I know there are several readers who follow along each week and their readership has helped to grow this blog. I felt I owed it to those who read to explain this last minute decision and absence. Thank you to everyone who has followed along or popped in from time to time. I am so grateful for the support of everyone on this little creative space. I hope to be back soon.

With love,

Taylor

  2. Taylor… I think it’s very sweet that you took the time to say that you are taking a break. There have been other blogs that I’ve read that suddenly “disappeared” without any explanation, so it’s really nice that you filled in your readers. I’ve really enjoyed your blog – particularly the simple style of it all. I’ll miss your posts, but most of all, I hope you take care of yourself and get things in balance. I was never reading for the latest outfit, I just liked you for you and enjoyed a little peak into your life! As a reader, I don’t think we fully understand all the work that goes into posting on a regular schedule as you were doing – all that, plus holding down a full-time job, being a wife, and having to maintain a house is a lot of work!!! I’m sure it can be overwhelming. So, please know that I am cheering for you – whether it’s on the blog or off! I’ll be praying that God blesses you with peace of mind and a fresh perspective. You will be great in any path you choose. Please know that if and when you decide to come back, your readers will be there. XXOO

  3. Taylor, it is always best to take care of yourself first and foremost, blogging is more work than anyone even knows. We will miss seeing your beautiful face and your classic style. Whatever you choose to do know that there are so many people out there who only want what is best for you. Take care! XOXO- Katie & Lydia
