First, let me just say that if you haven’t seen The Lorax you need to! It is such a great movie and has such a wonderful message to share.

I love this quote because it works in so many scenarios. I am choosing to share it today because I often think of it in terms of taking care of our planet (since that is the message in the Lorax). So with Earth Day being this past weekend it seems particularly appropriate.

However, as I said this quote can be applied to so many different situations whether it is taking care of the environment, standing up for what you believe in, caring about others, or working to become a better person.

There have been several times that I have become discouraged when trying to make a difference because I am “just one person”. Chances are I am not the only one who has that thought. Sometimes all it takes is just one person to make a difference. And if everyone is thinking “I am just one person” then nothing will ever change or get done.

So be the one person who cares a whole awful lot. Encourage others to do the same and eventually  you will start to see changes around you.
